Back in the Land of the Living...Almost

It's been a week. Last Wednesday, just as Myles was getting over his everlasting nasty cold, I came down with a fever. By the end of the day it was up to 103. When it finally broke, it left a painful throat, swollen glands, and an infected eye in its wake. And it's still working it's way out of my system. (It's not strep throat, I just finally had it checked today). In the midst of this, Seth's folks arrived for Myles' birthday party weekend, and we threw him a big ole party at the YMCA on Saturday. Cousins Ashton and Sawyer even came all the way from Tennessee (Cullen was sick!). The first hour was pool time, and then the second half was cake and ice cream. Seth created the most beautiful birthday crown I've ever laid eyes on (see above), and Myles looked adorable (park ranger shirt courtesy of Ms. Ashley Howze). Later at home, we opened a few gifts, like the recycle truck from Grandma and Grandpa Voss (how fun, we get to teach Myles about recycling!!). We had a wonderful visit with Seth's mom and dad, who also brought sweet and fiesty Zoe, a miniature schnauzer puppy who sported doggie t-shirts with sassy sayings like "talk to the paw!"
Myles is just waking up from a nap, so I will post this as is. Much love to all our readers!!
